Things are apparently busy for many home improvement contractors, and the future looks bright, as well. The latest National Association of Home Builders’ Remodeling Market Index (RMI) rose in the second quarter of 2014, indicating that contractors are optimistic about the level of work they will have for the near future.
The RMI is made up of four components: calls for bids, amount of work for the next three months, backlog of jobs and appointments for proposals.
This indicates that things are going well for homeowners, as well, since people generally only invest in home improvement projects when they are feeling relatively secure and optimistic about their financial situation.
